Yes, it was very sad to hear of the destruction of so many churches and buildings in Christchurch in recent months from the earthquakes. Glad to hear that this church will be rebuilt!

Hi Sue Thanks for your kind comment! Guess you know that sadly after the February Earthquake the Catherdal was very badly damaged with the Steeple and circular window gone along with many of the walls =( Good news is they plan to rebuild it - but many other historic buildings did not fare so well. Thanks Gaurav- this cathedral is now in tatters - as it was badly damaged in a large earthquake on Tuesday - some 22 people are thought to have died in the church - they are still working to recover those poor people =(
